The exotic city of Jaisalmer stand on the yellow gold sand and in the heart of the Thar Desert. Jaisalmer is home to many heritage sites and forts each with their own stories of charm and struggle. Jaisalmer Fort’s massive yellow sandstone walls are surely a memorable sight. The fort was built in 1156 CE and now has multiple eateries and small shops catering to the travellers at all times. Jaisalmer Fort was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list during the 37th meeting of the World Heritage Committee in Phnom Penh during June 2013. Some other beautiful places to see are Sam Sand Dunes, Thar Heritage Meuseum, Fort Palace, museums and temples.

Jaisalmer is 752 Kms away from Delhi and is accessible through Bus, Train and flight. The flight goes till Jodhpur and rest of the 300 Kms has to be covered by the road.
